# 1 barn kitchen

The client has a complex of buildings, and wanted to convert an old barn into a kitchen/dining area. The challenges were to incorporate the existing timber beams, and how to use the long narrow space.

The brief was for a country style kitchen with some modern features. The central island has a built-in microwave, and an electric Aga is used for cooking.

A seating area was incorporated for the comfort of the big family and guests. The fireplace was also designed, and the door at the far end of the room opens into a wine cellar/pantry.
